Biotech & Healthcare

The life sciences sector is amongst the most prominent sectors in modern society and companies in this sector face unique scientific, technological, socio-economic, regulatory and IP related challenges.

The BSG Team Ventures Biotech & Healthcare practice is qualified to advise on leadership issues and has a long history of success with clients such as Cambridge Antibody Technology, Vectura, Cyclacel, ProStrakan, banks such as SG Cowan and Goldman Sachs and investors including Warburg Pincus and 3i.

Our experience in the sector encompasses the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology (including genomics and proteomics), medical devices, diagnostics, bioinformatics, animal health, specialty pharma, dental markets, generics, research tools and healthcare telematics.

Hi-tech

The technology and telecommuncations arena is all about change and our business is structured and managed to address the way our clients' own businesses change on fast cycles.

We work to develop leadership capital at the 'C' level, across the East Coast of the US and across Western Europe, typically for venture capital backed or otherwise privately backed companies, from start-up through to IPO, applying direct search methodologies linked to retained agreements with key clients and delivered in person by the firm's partners.

Clean technology

"Cleantech" is widely understood to encompass technologies that promote the more efficient use of the earth's resources in industrial production and comsumption. Whilst a virtually unknown innovation area at the turn of the Century we are now assisting VC, hedge fund and industry clients to build teams from scratch.

We are also the founder and champion of the Cleantech Special Interest Group for the Cambridge Network in the UK.
